Domain Registration

A Domain Name is a name that reflects your business name online.

E.G. Webpulse Australia has the domain name webpulse.com.au and if you type that into your address window, that name then points to an IP address that connects you with the server that hosts your website and then your website will then show up on your main screen. (Note webpulse.com.au is in lower case).

We have also registered webpulseaustralia.com.au and webpulse.au and have those names also pointing to the webpulse.com.au website, just in case someone types in either of those domain names.

On another note and an important one,  someone has already registered webpulseaustralia.com even though they are not from Australia and have that name pointing to their website which then conflicts with your business, and so you see the importance of registering your domain in relation to your business name asap.

Having said that, there are many businesses with similar names and so if you can’t get your actual business name you need to compromise and get a name as close to your business name as possible.
